The time period is mainly between 1958 and 1966, and steam motive power largely dominates except in the far north. This beautifully illustrated book will appeal to railway enthusiasts, modellers and those interested in local history. Most of the photographs have never previously been published and all were taken by the author, his father, and Alan Maund. An extensive and informative commentary accompanies the photographs.
