MOVIESTUFF RETROSCAN UNIVERSAL MKI
FRAME BY FRAME CINE FILM SCANNER.
From 2017 until February 2026 my primary cine film scanner was this Moviestuff RetroScan Universal MkI. Since February I have been using a Filmfabriek HDS+ and now that I am fully acquainted with my new scanner am looking to sell my RetroScan Universal on.
It scans frame by frame with 8mm (Standard & Super), 9.5mm, & 16mm films and was purchased by me from Texas, USA. No sprockets are used so it is very gentle with old film.
This model is used by numerous companies worldwide who copy cine film professionally.
It comes with two cameras - the one is Full HD (in fact 2048 x 1536), an upgraded UltraLite LED light source and fan, and three interchangeable gates (8mm/Super8, 9.5mm, and 16mm).
