Time chart on the bottom of the box.

The rear of a Scotch 5" 600' box. This has some of my dad's recordings of 'Sing Something Simple' with The Cliff Adams Singers, recorded on Sunday nights in 1966 with the Ferrograph Series 4. I still have the radio - it still works - that these were recorded directly from - a Murphy A38C (AC Superhet Console from 1937, when it cost £17/10/0d). The family company were Murphy agents and my dad's first job was at the Murphy Radio Factory, Welwyn Garden City - he bicycled to Welwyn from Pershore, Worcestershire on 3rd September 1939; the day WW2 was declared.
